Day #7 05/19/17 Last Work Week

Today the structure group finished drilling holes into the ROV to allow for air bubbles to escape while in water. We plan on attaching the tools and figuring out how many pool noodles we need for the ROV next class. The Motors group worked on soldering and waterproofing the motors and plans on finishing the waterproofing by next class. The control box group continued to work on soldering.

Day #6 05/18/17 Control Box

Today the structure group worked towards the finalization of the ROV and began drilling holes into the structure. The control box group began soldering and plans to finish by tomorrow or monday at the latest. The motor group has to waterproof the motors still but worked on soldering today.

Day #5 05/16/17 Soldering!

Today the structure team assembled the ROV for the first time, we plan on adding all most of the tools and compressing the size of the ROV starting tomorrow. The control box group soldered the fuse holder and began soldering wires to the circuit bored. The tether group stripped and prepared wires for soldering.

Day #4 05/12/17 Beginning the build

Today the motor group finished the propellers and began working on the tether. The structure group finished the measurements for the ROV design and the control box group built a practice circuit board and will begin work on the final control board on Tuesday.

Day #3 05/11/17 Beginning Our ROV Building

Today the structure design team made a final ROV design and made a multiple diagrams and pictures of the structure including bracket placement and some placement of tools. We plan on figuring out exact measurements next time as well as hopefully beginning actually build the ROV structure. The motor/propulsion group and the control box group practiced soldering today.

Day #2 05/09/17 Learning our Roles

Today each of the team members watched their training and safety videos in order to begin building the ROV. We built a rough prototype and worked towards the final design of the ROV.

Day #1 05/05/17 Trying Out ROV's

Today each of the team members tested out the use of the smaller ROV's from last year and also the newer model ROV that Mrs.S Built. We have also finished our preliminary design finished for the ROV with drawings of the design.
